- These few weeks hasn't been the best for me, it was ranked among the worst.
I lost my cute little cousin a week ago. My family used to babysit her for a few years. I still remember she used to wait for me to return home from my morning swimming lessons, always there at the gate greeting and screaming happily.
Borned with kidney problems, medicine to her is like sweet to children. The amount of pills she took at one time is more than what you, you and you took when you had cold, fever, sore throat and cough. Like all children, she goes to school and is one of the top students of her class. However, for 12 gruelling years, she battled with the illness. Until a week ago, she left. She did not lose the battle. She displayed the traits of a valiant warrior. She kept on fighting despite knowing that the battle will never be won. Whatever it is, whenever it is, wherever she is, she'll forever be my beloved cousin =)
Things got pretty bad for me at attachment too. Some guy in the same lab as me, seemed to have a penchant in bullying me. Since attachment till now, he likes to go rough with me, squeezing my shoulder blades so hard like squeezing every bit of your facial cleanser that is left in the tube, giving a hard chop on my neck like some karate master trying to chop some 10 thousand bricks and grabbing my arm like grabbing some limited edition metal boobs. And his words seem to bring some sting in it. He once said "NTU students earn a bit more than you all (poly students) on attachment but need to do so much work. Whereas you all can slack around everyday." DAMN IT LAH, if I'm slacking around then would I be in lab to listen to your bullshit sarcasm? Look who's slacking? Someone who can find time to bully others or someone who's doing his work in one corner? Today, he said something which made me really feel like beating him up for good. As my supervisor is away on a conference and is back today, he said "your sup is back liao, cannot slack liao" I WAS LIKE !!$#!#$%!#%$! I gave him a cold hard stare, so cold that it would freeze a cup of hot coffee and asked what did he just said. AND HE SAID NOTHING. Fancy someone who went NS before and is still so scrawny. I bet he's some cook or clerk (no punt intended) since he told me he's able to go home everyday. Talking about him makes my blood boil. And he's one cunning fellow. He would go rough when there's hardly anyone in the lab and talk about the slacking shit loudly during the peak hour in the lab. If not for the sake of my school's reputation, I wouldn't care less to put up with his nonsense.
Other than that, attachment is pretty boring. I felt like I'm working alone in the lab though my lab boasts the reputation as one of the most populated lab in the facility. In addition, the only time I talk, is to discuss things with my supervisor. Other than that, I would be staring at my best companion, the microwave (will show the picture soon) and the computer. I felt very much like I'm being isolated on an island (besides being on jurong island) and the only guy that talk to me, sadly, isn't any good chap.
